I checked behind the website. Nothing. So we made it official.

- heybastian.com now has a proper 404 page: one calm sentence, a
way home, and — occasionally — a fortune.
- Wrong turns on API paths answer in tidy JSON instead of a
webpage, so integrations never get a surprise.

- One-click color schemes on the dashboard's Appearance page —
accent and bubble set together, from Bastian Blue to Thin Mints
to Pancake Stack.
- Your own hex colors still work exactly as before; presets are a
shortcut, not a fence.
- New in the docs: how to switch Bastian's face and animations on
or off — and a note that the widget already honors your
visitors' reduce-motion setting automatically.

A new front door.
They pressed my outfit. I remained calm.

- heybastian.com got a full redesign — the homepage now shows a
real conversation, including Bastian declining to guess, which
remains his favorite trick.
- The docs got a matching refresh, with a clearer picture of where
your account lives: right here. Signing up for Bastian creates a
Bastian account and nothing else, anywhere.
- The WordPress page now shows the plugin tile you'll recognize in
the directory — look for the little blue face.
Before this? Bastian was built, answered quietly in
beta, and nobody wrote anything down. He has asked that this be
described as "the humble era."
